Last Tree Standing

Driving through Medlow Bath today I noticed this tree lopper taking down the last tree in the grounds of the Hydro Majestic Hotel.
This is an iconic and imposing hotel which is perched on the edge of the escarpment and has stunning views of the Megalong Valley.
After last year's windstorm the avenue of trees on the highway were removed and the whole area is scarred, so it was sad to see this.  With any luck they're planning to replace the trees, but I doubt they'll be very large in my lifetime.

It was a crazy day, spent trying to elicit information from various organisations.
Four hours on the phone! I won't bore you with the details, but wanted to note this for my own benefit.
