Best Job Ever!

Lake Ontario Park is one of my favourite spots in Kingston. A big part of my job lately has involved reconnecting my clients with nature and, for one client in particular, this park brings him back to life. His psychotic symptoms subside, his thoughts untangle, and his whole being relaxes. Today he marvelled over ducks and red winged blackbirds and acorns and a bright rubber ball we found on the beach. After an hour, he went home with a pocket full of treasures and a mind full of memories. As we left the park, he threw his arms wide and said "I feel overcome with life!" Today was a good day.
