Labour Day

It is a public holiday today, Labour Day, and the weather has been exceptionally hot. I have been studying all day for my Boatmaster Course, exam tomorrow having missed the last two lessons !
We decided to have a wander round the Cruising Club and have a drink at the bar later in the afternoon and were surprised to find the bar shut ! It is usually only open Wednesday to Sundays but I assumed, wrongly, that it would be open on a public holiday. What an opportunity missed !
