Normal Transmission . . .
resumed in the art room today. All three classes were focused on their work, enjoyed what they had to do and put effort into what they had to do. This little chap is part of a class of six year olds. They are going to be learning about the Pacific Islands and their teacher wanted me to do some art connected to the Pacific. The obvious activity is Tapa patterns. We are starting with the patterns on shells. I was amazed by how they concentrated on drawing the shell shapes and then the patterns. The extra pic is Holly plaiting wool to make a cord for her Toanga (necklace) to hang from. I tried it and I can't do it. It seems upside down to me.
