Oak apple gall
I came across an oak tree covered in these little 'berries'. I had never seen them before so it was off to google to see what I could find out. Apparently they are galls which are an abnormal growth on a plant caused by a virus or certain insects. Oak trees seem to be particularly susceptible. Throughout the day I looked at several oak trees and found they all had them. Why have I never noticed them before?
