Scratch!

This is Minstrel's newest Scratch-Post which Brian bought him from E Bay. Of course he has not shown much interest in scratching it, and I don't think he will. 

When he does scratch things - the door, the furniture, his scratching shoes, etc.- he stretches up higher than this is tall! He does need to scratch to keep his claws good, and as he's an indoor cat, it needs to be something in the house.

 One thing that has been suggested is a piece of tree-stump mounted on a plinth of wood. That may be more likely to get scratched than this which is now a display piece in the front room!
