Lady of the Rings

I am absolutely drenched, on the train back from Folkestone where I was working at MIND today. On the walk back to the station, seeking shelter from the deluge, I went to get a cup of coffee and that's how I met Jan. She was sitting by herself at the next table, staring at the rain whilst I was stealing surreptitious glances at her hands. Eventually I approached her to ask if I could take the photograph and we spent a wee while talking.
She's in her 70's and has 113 rings on those digits, collected over forty years but most of them in the last three after her brother died and left her some money. She only buys second-hand and travels around East Kent visiting all the jewellers regularly.
