Sitting tight...

A day of country smells ! One spreading dung, muggins stirring slurry ready to spread. Proving too thick to mix ,so had to rig up the pump  to get water from the burn. Now the slatted tank too full to mix properly,so will need to spread some and start all over again .
The 360  was delivered last night ready to start felling one of our woods today. When I was over this afternoon you couldn't move for health and safety warning notices stating the obvious. Like keep out the way of falling trees,big machines and don't play on the stacks of timber ! Well I would never have thought of that.
I have 2 ducks clocking at the moment (sitting on eggs ). Don't think they will hatch though as they both let the eggs get chilled a few times. They are not very maternal. I used to hatch duck eggs out under a bantam hen, when we had hens, as they were far better mothers.And they never seemed to notice that duck eggs took 28 days instead of the 21 days hens eggs take.
