Lichfield

We went to see our friends John and Jennie today. We decided to go to Lichfield for lunch and to visit the cathedral.

Lunch was in a very nice place by the river, salmon and dill fish cakes with fries and rocket. The place was almost next door to the cathedral, which was just as well as it was pouring with rain by the time we left the restaurant.

We seem to be going for the world record in cathedral visits this year with three in quick succession, St David's, Exeter and Lichfield.

The place was very impressive with friendly, authoritative guides, and included a display of part of the Staffordshire Hoard. As expected I took quite a few photos, unfortunately I only had my small camera, so not tip top quality.
