Aaw, babies

I went out on my bike today for a ride down towards the Botanics. I passed through Inverleith Park and stopped to look at the Swan sitting on its nest. A very excited woman saw my camera, and said that the Coots had just left their nest and were in the reeds, and I should take some photos. At first all that could be seen was the parent, but then this wee head stuck its head out of the feathers. It's colourful and quite cute. I then went and walked round the Botanics and saw the baby Moorhen, which I've added as an extra blip. Despite the Baltic weather spring has sprung.
