Tulip
My enthusiasm in the past three years for tulips is due, in large part, to the 'new' breeds which stand tall, hold their heads high, have pointed petals, are beautiful when closed as well as when open wide, and are to be had in such perfect colours, including variegation . This one stands amongst even lovelier pale lemon blooms, but on a slightly grey day the crimson (?) photographs better.
