Waxing Kent

I like the Kent when it's full, like this. It reacts so quickly to heavy rainfall, although I've seen it over the top of those railings before. 

Fortunately I was indoors most of the day - governors and then work - although when I did go out this evening the rain had pretty much stopped. Dan and Abi had a Scouts trip up to Bendrigg Lodge, so I dropped them off, parked up, and went on a four and a half mile walk in a big loop. 

It might have been a bit tedious but when I was about a third of the way round, my mum rang me for the first time since the election, so I passed the next couple of miles having a satisfying mutual gripe about the state of the nation.
