Another Experiment

Lovely sunny day today and quite warm too.

We went for our walk up the old lay-by and stopped to talk to the pig farmer! He is expecting four litters of piglets in the pen nearest the fence in a few weeks time - so future cute blips may be on the way!

We took the route over the A1 today - first time I have tried the footbridge with Finlay - there is no ramp up and down and I was slightly worried he would struggle with all the steps, but he managed them without any bother.

I took the shot of this barn / store in bright sunlight and then played around with it in Lightroom.  I darkened it by bringing the overall exposure right down and this brought out some detail in the sky. I then played with an adjustment brush painted over the buildings and hedges and then brought the exposure / colour contrast etc. back up again to make them 'pop' out from the darkness. A sort of HDR effect without being too extreme.
