Heartburn

It's Squirrel Blip Friday!  I thought this mama squirrel looked like me after a spicy meal....bloated and holding her tummy. ;-)  In other shots of her standing up, it is obvious that she is a nursing mother. I can't wait to see her babies!  There is a pair of Cooper's Hawks nesting not far from the squirrel tree so I hope they'll be safe!  It's funny that Piper barks at the hawks but never at any other birds.  I wonder if she recognizes them as fellow hunters or maybe she's warning her squirrel buddies.  If the hawks got them, who would she chase?
