Sweet dreams are made of this

After a phone call to the council this morning to explain how the temporary fencing around the new play area at the park had been pushed over in part and how it seemed unsafe, the contractors finally turned up this afternoon to remove the offending fencing just in time for school to turn out.

There were a lot of very happy children playing there by 3.15 I can tell you. I don't think the new zip wire or swinging roundabout stopped until after it started to go dark. I could still hear the shouts and laughter from home this evening. So nice to see kids playing outside. No phones, no tablets, no x-boxes just good old fashioned play, in the sunshine too! I guess this is going to be a busy road this weekend. Shame we have so much planned already but there's always Monday.
