I quick snap from the car as I was leaving Filoli today.  He's posing on top of a Western Bluebird box.  We have these boxes all over the property as part of a reintroduction/habitat enhancement program.  There is a group of folks who come out routinely during the spring to count Bluebirds and make comparisons to years previous.  Apparently, their numbers are rising.


Not quite sure why he's scowling at me...
