In the ballpark
One day, he will worry about how he looks in whatever clothes he wears. He will be self-conscious and aware of what others think. He will not want to hug me in public, and won't run to me with excitement when he beats a level on some video game. He will stop asking for definitions of new words he hears. He will stop asking the hard questions, like "what do you do when you don't want to lie, but don't want to tell the truth, either?" He will no longer think that there is any merit in kissing a busted elbow.
Blessedly, not yet!
