Persimmons

After a sunny autumn day and I am enjoying cooking for a friend who will share dinner with us.  He always feeds us well so it's time to up my game and create an inviting meal.  I'm trying blue cheese on sliced persimmon instead of cheese on crackers.  I think this is a persimmon tree growing in a garden just up the road from school.  I took a quick shot of it on the way back from the supermarket.  I don't know if it is just ornamental or the edible kind.  Persimmons cost $5.99 a kilo in said supermarket.
