Flame

One of the many flying carpets to be found on the moors, I disturbed this Flame Carpet moth from last year's bracken.

A quick spin around the moor in between stints of report writing threw up: 8 Small Tortoiseshell, 2 Peacock, 1 Green-veined White and 19 Green Hairstreaks. Some of the Green Hairstreaks were in a spot that I hadn't seen them before, despite looking there frequently over the past few years.
