Purple Irises

The awesome tulip display may be past its heyday, but the gardens at the Arboretum continue to spring up with flowers of every color. I found the first iris blooms I've seen this year near the lily pond and I snapped a few photos. There was a nice mix of blooms and buds, with the buds wrapped tightly like a ballet dancer's silken toe shoes.
