Astrantia Venice

The sun has shone today, thank goodness, as we needed to get on with things. Good start with the weeding in the big garden until B tweaked his back!!

Pain relief and anti-inflammatories were dished out and he was on the bench for the rest of the day.

I took his car and went in to Lincoln. Not sure what was more painful, his back or the thought of me driving his car..... something I only do in emergencies!!

This astrantia is in the "posh" garden, which I weeded when we arrived on Friday. Considering it is 3 months since it was last weeded it wasn't an arduous task, thanks to the membrane and stones which provide protection!!

This garden is a project we started when we cleared this area last summer and planted up in the autumn. We have now got to this manageable state which is looking good!! We are well pleased!!

The surrounding area is mobbed with sparrows and I caught this scene through the window. I would have chosen this to blip today had the quality been better.
