"Wisteria Plumes"
wisteria plumes
sweep the earth, and soon
the rains will fall
Poem by Masaoka Shiki (1867-1902)
I'm at Mum's in Tiptree until Monday, and was delighted to see the full effect of spring in the garden today - roses and hydrangeas are showing the beginnings of perfect tiny buds, one or two beautiful irises are already out (see extra photo) and the next door neighbour's wisteria is cascading gloriously over the top of the fence with its gorgeous perfume.
