Off to the old fashioned nursery!

This was how flowers and plants used to be sold in the "good old days" before supermarkets and garden centres.  We came across Aughton Nursery this time last year when we went out for lunch with friends.  We were admiring the hanging baskets outside the Bistrot Verite in Southport and Marc, the chef and owner told us about Aughton Nursery which you would never find on your own as it is off the beaten track, down a side road.  This is a traditional old fashioned nursery run by a traditional old fashioned husband and wife.  

Fantastic hanging baskets and bedding plants at even more fantastic prices - makes you realise the mark-up in the garden centres and supermarkets!
