Tender Trillium

It was a great day spent with my sister!  We walked in a 5K put on in conjunction with the Asparagus Festival. After lunch we attended a meeting for prospective adopt-a-beach volunteers.  I'm excited to be spending time doing something good for the Sleeping Bear National Lakeshore this summer - definitely an area I want to see maintained for future generations. 

One of my extra photos is of Lake Michigan at Empire Beach - to think that just 2 months ago at this very site I  was walking on the frozen lake and crawling around under ice caves!

When I got home I saw my first hummingbird of the season at one of our feeders (we were late getting our feeders out this year)! This is always a momentous occasion as these little creatures provide much entertainment.
