Jubilee line
A much better weather day today, so we took advantage and headed to Upper Arley in the Severn Valley. We did the four mile Upper Arley Circular Walk which has plenty of interest from the river, the Severn Valley Railway, the Trimpley reservoirs and pleasant woodlands.
At the end of the walk we strolled up to Arley station to watch a couple of trains pass through. We were rather disappointed when the first train turned out to be pulled by a rather uninteresting diesel locomotive, but the train in the other direction had a fine steam locomotive.
The station was looking very colourful, decked out with plenty of bunting and Union flags for the Diamond Jubilee, and I have chosen a photo of this as my blip for today.
