Mini Rose

Small and delicate

One of the biggest blessings in one's life is the friends we've made and kept for many years. When one of those special friends gives a gift, it is a treasure too. 
I shared breakfast with an old friend. She gave me a miniature rose as a gift. 
The colour of the rose is significant for her. Her late husband would give her roses and they would always be yellow. We talked about him and remembered what a heart of gold he had. There are now two little grandsons and we talked about how those little guys would have been a delight to him. She has been a widow for more than ten years now. It doesn't get any easier.
