Do Cars Get Summer Vacations?
The old '41 is home for the summer. Members can help support the car museum by paying to store an old car there during the winter when it is closed to the public; that's what we've been doing. It frees up our own storage space at home and gives a paltry amount to the museum building fund.
It's exciting to have it at home again though, like having a kid home from college: It'll always be underfoot, always heart warming to see it in the carport, always a worry about moths getting into that old upholstery, and always an amazement at how big it is as we squeeze around it. In September we'll clean it up and drive it back down to the museum campus.
