The headwaters of the Cromarty Firth
Not far from this location the River Conon flows into the Firth, and just a few hundred metres the other way is where the, much smaller, Peffery, arrives. At about this point there is a relatively quiet area of reed beds and wildlife. I haven't done this walk for some time but today saw two Ospreys hunting and a wren in one of the hedgerows. What a beautiful day.
