of the Caribbean? No - Pirate weekend in Plymouth saw many folk both young and old superbly dressed for the occasion on the Barbican quayside beside a classic sailing ship. The Phoenix built in 1929 as a missionary schooner was converted some years ago in the form of an 18th century square rigged brig and is based at Charlestown in Cornwall where it has appeared in a number of period dramas. Contrast this with Brittany Ferries flagship Pont Aven leaving for Spain shortly after.
