Today was extremely hard. When the exit pole came in and the predictions were so far from the opinion poles, there was still hope that they would be drastically wrong. I stayed up until 1am, and was up again before 6am to be greeted by an even worse outcome. I still cannot believe the result. It's a bleak time if you believe in free healthcare, free press and the welfare state. If you place hope in anything remotely creative or artistic.
