It's raining heavily today in Perugia. Thunder, lightning and an abundance of soggy feet: it must be time for a warm drink indoors! Summer has brought with it rainy weather; just as it is in Ireland. Ah well!

It has been great to see the colourful, cheery celebrations throughout the U.K. for Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II's Diamond Jubilee. She is a truly remarkable person and I think she is certainly due much praise for her steadfast dedication to serving the peoples of the U.K. and the Commonwealth realms.
