Highly Unsprung

Oscar night

Dave would stay up for the oscars if it wasn't a school night, I stay up for the election. The thought of swingometers makes me excited. I'm really that dull. The snacks and refreshment choices are also very important when it comes to seeing out the wee small hours. I made it to about 3.30 or 4 ish in thE morning before I drifted off and cuddled the sofa, enough to know that Alex was safe, but not long enough to see it formally announced. Long enough to see some dastardly dinosaurs being voted out and some lovely cheeky new bright young things sweep the board. Oh and of course the main reason I stayed up, long enough to see justice done, Goodnight Mr Murphy.

Friday was a write off, with a couple of hours sleep on the sofa before the school run and before I specialised in wasting the whole day. Then later Chris arrived from Edinburgh to stay over, the first time we'd seen the Mexican traveller for a year or so. And later still that weekend, a visit from our friends up from London Village, where the hunger games had reinstated Mr Cameron as Prime Minister to their capitol. While they had spent election night on the sofa with none other than Frankie Boyle (I would think that quite an odd experience but they are all friends), i grumped about having only the company of a flatulent feline for election night. For the next one, there shall be a ban on smelly cats (maybe). And better snacks.
