Mugdock Castle in the sunshine

Fiona and I had gone visiting today to see my mother and the new member of the watt family a collie cross called Bramble unfortunately he would not stay still enough to get a good picture of so when we all went walkies to Mugdock Country Park I took this picture of the old castle tower , this dates back to Middle of the 13th century.
Although the Castle is now in ruins the tower has been restored and on high days and holidays the country park that it is now part of opens the tower up so that visitors can climb to the top to view the surrounding country side and park.
