Yellow Iris

The flowers have been splendid this year and this yellow one looked stunning in the afternoon sun. I was hoping to photograph the family of Goldfinches as they feasted on Niger seeds - I counted six earlier in the day, but it clearly wasn't feeding time when I was out with the camera this afternoon.

We've made progress with unpacking and sorting boxes that were packed away when the building work began. We now feel we're beginning to colonise our new space (and the old space that we had to give up when the building work was ongoing. No Jubilee celebrations for us.
