The Scottish Cup comes to Falkirk
The Scottish Cup Final is just over two weeks away - on Saturday 30th May to be precise - and the cup itself is on tour around the Falkirk area this week, visiting schools, workplaces and the like.
On Friday it was on display in the Howgate Shopping Centre in the centre of the town, launching a two-week exhibition featuring Falkirk FC's appearances in the Scottish Cup FInal. There was a good crowd of people waiting to have their photo taken with the cup, meet some of the players and say hello to club mascot Fergus the Fox.
I've seen them in the final twice, losing on both occasions: to Kilmarnock in 1997 and Rangers in 2009. Here's hoping for better success in 2015, although it has to be said that Inverness Caledonian Thistle are a good side and playing well..
