MonoMonday: The Day of the Triffids

Here is my "go" at a mono shot for the latest Mono Monday theme "the Day of the Triffids." I remember reading the book, by John Wyndham, in the early 1960s.  It was probably the first "proper" novel I read after years of children's fiction. If anyone doesn't "get" what the picture is supposed to be then there are two possible explanations:

1. It is a rubbish picture; and/or
2. You need to read the book. (I wouldn't bother with any of the film or TV versions, which don't convey the complex menace of the original.)
