Bad times!

What on earth is happening this year!
I have run my moth trap as often as I can, and the last 3 nights the most moths I have caught at any one time is 3!!!! 
This is really awful! mid May should mean 30 odd moths a night at least,,,not 3!
The only saving grace in all of this is the moths I have caught have been good ones.
This lovely Pale tussock Calliteara pudibunda, is a new moth for my garden and I think really rather attractive.
The moth is fairly common in England and Wales and always rests with it;s furry front feet extended in front of it's body,This one has quite plain markings, they can have darker band markings across the wings and the females are generally larger than the males.
