Bird on the Wire
Mum and I went on an epic trip around the Freeport Braintree shopping outlet all morning in the wind and rain. After a relaxing half hour warming ourselves up with mugs of delicious Thornton's hot chocolate, we had a lengthy mooch around the shops looking for bargains. We spent much more time there than we had intended, and had a later lunch than planned. Although I'd taken my pocket camera along, there were no photo opportunities under the dreary skies.
The promised sunshine didn't materialise until about seven o'clock this evening, when I popped out for a walk around Tiptree and snapped this Bird on the Wire basking in the last rays of sunlight.
Back to Chesham first thing tomorrow to get ready for a few days at the Hay Literary Festival with fellow blipper bucksmiss and a few other ladies - none of whom I have met before, and only one of whom bucksmiss has met before. We are nothing if not intrepid!
PS: Here's a fantastic version of "Bird on the Wire" by Joe Bonamassa - thanks to Roz for the tip :-)
