One species each day (from my backyard)
We came back from Geraldine in the dark, so here's another flash macro photograph of a species in my backyard. This is Galinsoga parviflora, probably the most abundant weed in the garden. As a whole plant not very interesting to look at, but in close-up it's quite pretty. It rained quite a bit during the day and it was quite cool in the evening, so there was a thick layer of dew forming on most surfaces. Very fine dew drops are visible on the flower, but a flash from above the lens is not the most exciting light source to show water droplets.
