Mono Monday : : Day of the Triffids

I'm a little out of my element here since I haven't seen the movie or read the book, so I'm unclear on the concept of what a triffid looks like, but it must be a cultural artifact by now because I DO know that they're trying to take over the world.

On THAT score I'm right in my element,  having spent two days removing some very invasive  determined plants from our garden. This is our remaining passiflora vine trying to strangle a bamboo leaf…a worthy opponent!

The flower looks pretty scary in mono too, but OilMan didn't think so. I put it in as an extra photo. I think it looks suitably creepy against the black background.
