How many people

does it take to launch a float from beach to water??? 7 and 1 dog, apparently. (I just took pictures).   The annual ritual came with a gorgeous day.  This is the first of 3 parts to this plastic rowing dock that we haul to the beach from its winter on land, put it together and wait for the tide to float it off and drag it next to our dock.   Here’s the SAME crew 1 year ago yesterday, so this year I thought I’d get them working…

The most exciting part of today however was sighting some sea lions in our bay —we‘ve never seen them here before .  and of course my big lens wasn;t working so the photos are rubbish but I’m  posting one as the extra anyway —got some other pictures that definitely show them with ears…so ..(stellar?) sea lions, not large harbor seals!!


And the last good part is that someone else is again cooking dinner and they even invited our friends C and P from the island - so I’m about to go to a party!
