The last persimmon

I picked most of the persimmons a week or so ago, but left just one hanging on the tree - I think they look lovely.  The golden balls on a leafless tree look really great, especially when there are a lot of them.  We got maybe 9 or so this year, but it's a young tree, and I'm hoping next year will be a good one.

Although we have so many lorikeets I guess I'd have to net it - and the possums like them as well. It's a battle, it really is.

It's not really a macro, but it is a close-up, so hope it counts.
