Just A Lovely Day
Our daughter Sara spent the day with us today, her youngest son Jacob who turns 9 later this year left yesterday for his first school camp, ordinarily most boys would have been raring to go, Jacob is quite happy with his home comforts and he was in no way ready for packing his newly bought luggage and go on a school bus and leave home for 3 days, but with gentle persuasion from his parents and family and his teacher he plucked up courage and boarded the bus yesterday.
Sara cancelled all her clients yesterday and today (she is a hairstylist and works from home now) in case she had the phone call to come collect your child, the call never came, we met Sara for coffee this morning and a coastal walk with Milo (our lab) Sara then decided to hang out with her parents (us) and we drove to Guildford ate lunch at the oldest pub in W.A the Rose and Crown, a walk in and out the local antique shops and a walk through the park.
Jacob is coming home tomorrow to one relieved Mum & Dad and older brother, Koen, Jacob has just made a giant leap of independence it took some courage and we are very proud of him..
Thanks Sara and my wonderful hubby for a wonderful day...
