First rose

This is a lone rose open in our garden, but there are plenty more on the way. It will be interesting to see how they fare this year because I was unable to get in the garden to prune them or feed them.
We had a lunch date over in Kent today, joining our South African friends as they visit their daughter who now lives in the UK. She is my goddaughter and it was good to see them all and catch up with all their news.
We had a horrendous journey home on the M25 in torrential rain.
