grandparent ga-ga

littlest nephew turned one today. what a marvellous boy he is! and clearly, has the ability to send grandparents ga-ga.

busy tuesday, as ever, including planning sessions, eating cakes, hanging out with students, eating donuts, running a school club, singing in a choir and a dirty dinner.

i had every intention of attending 'green drinks', a monthly social event run by my local green party (hoping the beer isn't actually green) tonight. however, i've chickened out due to general social awkwardness. having never attended anything like it before, i'm just too scared. this is probably what it feels like for people who come to church for the first time, right?! i'll go next month. i don't think the planet will die because of me being too frightened to drink beer with people.
