a bee without a sting in its tail
...it was surprisingly cold this morning but it was dry and there were signs that the sun might put in an appearance later, so, after breakfast, we strolled down to Swanage town centre to see how things were progressing with the preparations for today's huge street party and associated side shows. I took a few shots as material for a potential blip in case nothing better presented itself during the course of the day.
By the time we finished lunch, the sky was emptying of cloud so, instead of going back down to Swanage, we went for another of our favourite local walks along the Priests Road to Dancing Ledge and back along the coast path.
Back on the 12thMay I blipped an image of our bee orchids in Tuscany and commented on how pale they were this year. Consequently, I was amazed and delighted to find such a gorgeous cluster of rosy pink ones here in Purbeck...
