Wet Weevil

Vile weather here today, not that I have had any time to get out with the camera. I've been dealing with family issues and had to stay close to the phone for calls that never came.

I ducked outside the back door between hail storms this evening and spotted this dear little Red Rumex Weevil on a young dock by Barry's pond. I took a snap and then tried to get into a better position in an attempt to get a decent shot. I accidentally brushed the plant and Red dropped to the ground and disappeared. :(
