Aracnophobes beware!

Spiderlings emerging!
I spotted this strange web-encased cocoon outside my kitchen window on Sunday. This morning the spiderlings (which seems to be the term for baby spiders) were emerging into the morning sun. Fascinating - as long as you're not afraid of spiders...

I have been very erratic in my blipping of late. About to play fill in the blanks but wanted to post this first as it was the most interesting thing that I came across today.
(Although I had great fun on one of the Victoria lunchtime walks we're leading today - and we hardly got rained on despite today's crazy weather...)
