A surprise

I planted numerous irises this year THINKING that the deer would not eat them. I was very wrong. When these plants were very young, the deer ate the tops of. In frustration, I covered them with a piece of light netting and left them. I pulled off the netting to weed and lo and behold - irises - with developing blooms. You can see the tops of three here. There are 13!!
