After standing in a great spot for the Olympic torch relay in Liverpool for ages, the crowds decided to spill out on to the roads in front of Angela & I, obstructing our view. If you can't beat 'em, join 'em so I shoved my way to the front again. As the first car & coach pulled up, we needed tactical use of the elbows to get any sort of shot. The young lad who got off the coach was mobbed by the crowd even though his torch wasn't even lit yet.

He went over to a lady in the crowd, I'm assuming it was his grandmother, and gave her a huge hug. As he did so, I took this picture. I had a better shot of the torch alone, but without the flags & crowd I felt it lacked atmosphere.

Once the torch was lit, the shoving & pushing continued and the torch was out of sight in a few moments.
